How to lock and hide formulas at once in Excel: https://msexceltutorial.com/post/How-to-Lock-and-Hide-Formulas-in-Excel
In this intermediate Excel tutorial, I’ll demonstrate how you can lock and hide formulas in Excel but allow input. In a previous tutorial, I’ve explained the process of locking formulas in Excel; you can check that here: https://youtu.be/yQjosXMTJyI
I’ve also explained how to hide formulas in excel; here is it: https://youtu.be/pN9yA6gvWzw
In this tutorial we are going to combine those procedures at once. It means we are going to do a few things at once here.
1. Lock formulas in Excel
2. Hide formulas in Excel
3. Allow the user to input data into the rest of the cells.
Now let’s follow the procedure below to lock and hide the formula in Excel without protecting the entire sheet.
Step 1: Select the entire worksheet
Step 2: Click on /”Format/” and then /”Format Cells/” under the Home Tab
Step 3: Go to the /”Protection Tab/” from the popup menu and uncheck /”Locked/” and /”Hidden/”
Step 4: Now Select the Cells with Formula
Step 5: Click on /”Format/” and then /”Format Cells/” Under the Home Tab
Step 6: Go to the Protection Tab and check both /”Locked/” and /”Hidden/”
Step 7: Click on the Review tab and click on /”Protect Sheet/”
Step 8: Setup Password and click OK
Done! No one can now view, edit, or delete your excel formula. If you need to edit or delete the cells with a formula, you’ll need to enter the password. Thanks a million for watching. If you need to lock cells in Microsoft Excel, you can check out this tutorial: https://youtu.be/Goh4nJaHhGc
