Basically Xps Document Writer is the default print to file driver that enables users to create xps files. And this is pre installed on Windows 11/10 but its not a programme where you can create xps documents directly. Instead you’ll need to open a document you want to create an Xps file from.

The Microsoft XPS Document Writer (MXDW) is a print-to-file driver that enables a Windows application to create XML Paper Specification (XPS) document files on versions of Windows starting with Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2). Using the MXDW makes it possible for a Windows application to save its content as an XPS document without changing any of the application’s program code.

Instructions:
1. Open the Windows 11/10 Settings application by clicking the gear icon in the Start menu.
2. Click the Apps menu item.
3. On the /”Apps & Features/” tab click the Optional features link under /”Apps & features/”
4. Click the Add a feature button.
5. Type XPS into the search bar.
6. Click XPS Viewer from the list.
7. Click Install.
