How To Go to The Next Line in Excel Cell
Whenever we press enter in excel it takes us to the next cell. What if we need to add a line in the same excel cell? Sometimes we even need to do a carriage return in excel so that our cursor moves to the starting point within the same cell. Sometimes we even need to move down a line in same cell while using the keyboard.
In this excel tutorials I’ll demonstrate an excellent keyboard shortcut move down a line in Excel within a cell.
Suppose you are writing. Take your cursor where you need a line break within your cell. Then simply press the keyboard shortcut ALT + Enter and you’ll get your line break. This shortcut will take you to the next line in same excel cell. This is how you get a line break in excel cell.
You can even use the wrap text option to get line break but it is row height dependent. You can access Wrap Text by Pressing ALT+H+W
