The #Verizon Fios wifi #Router model G3100, which is common among most of the new installs, is set by default to automatically choose connection frequencies in the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz spectrum. You basically have one choice that doesn’t show the actual frequency band of 2.4 or 5 GHz.

I’ll show you how to set the #G3100 router to show both 2.4 and 5 GHz connection SSID’s, so you can choose either the 5 GHz (faster but doesn’t travel as far) and the 2.4 GHz (travels further, but slower than 5 GHz.
