When i use WinDbg App to open a crash dump file which is saved in the system drive C:, the WinDbg App, show me the warning ‘you don’t have permission to open this file. Contact the file owner or an administrator to obtain permission’.
When i checked the security properties of the file, i found ‘You must have read permission to view the properties of the object’. Also unable to display current owner’. Then i changed the owner.
Finally i found the solution by launching the App as an administrator.
