Xbox controller disconnecting? In this video, I show you how to fix your Xbox when your Xbox Series S/X controller is disconnecting from your console. Knowing how to connect your Xbox controller to your Xbox so it stops disconnecitng will enable you to sync/pair new controllers easily. To do this, check the batteries, manually power cycle your controller, and re-sync it to your Xbox. If that doesn’t work, connect your Xbox controller to your Xbox with a USB cable and update it to the latest firmware.

If your Xbox controller is still disconnecting, I recommend re-doing the steps in the video or using a usb cable.
