In this video, I’m going to show you how to fix Outlook 365 which is not showing the online status of collogues. Ideally there should be a circle of certain color like green, red or yellow to understand their online status. So, I’m going to fix this now.
First of all, we have to check if the “Display Online Status Next to Name” option is enabled or not. To check this, go to File tab at the top left corner. Click on “Options”. Then click on “People”. Here under “Online Status & Photograph” heading, we have to ensure ““Display Online Status Next to Name” option is enabled. Finally click on “Okay”. Now restart the Outlook and check if the status is shown beside the name.
Now, there might be another issue that you can’t actually turn on or off the “Display Online Status”. The option is not editable. In this scenario, you have to open Microsoft Teams. Click on the 3 dots menu, just next to the profile photo of teams. Then click on settings. Under General tab, you will find “Register the new Teams as the chat app for Microsoft 365”, put the tick mark on here. Now restart the outlook & team. And you should be able to turn on the “Display Online Status” as per previous method. Hope you can see online presence status of your colleagues in your organization. If not restart your computer and try.
Thanks for watching. If you have any queries, please let me know in the comments section.
