You might have encountered this media offline error in the software while importing a video file that was probably recorded from a smartphone.

Well, this generally happens because Davinci Resolve 18 does not have native support for HEVC codecs.

Now, we will not get into the codec’s technical information; we’ll get straight to the point. In order to fix this issue, all we need to do is just install this codec on our computer, and that’s it.
You can download and install this HEVC codec from the Microsoft Store.

Once you have downloaded and installed this codec on your computer or laptop, make sure to restart your computer, and then run Davinci Resolve.

That’s it. Now there shouldn’t be this offline media error.
