This is how you use the built in functionality, called Powerwash, to restore your Chromebook laptop to its factory settings. Something that is good (as in necessary) to do before you sell it or if you have any software related issues with it.

If you want to completely remove and reinstall ChromeOS (the operating system used on the computer) this is also possible and can be done in two ways. Either using an Internet connection to download the latest ChromeOS software directly to the Chromebook in question. Or by using a USB-stick and another computer to download and transfer the installation files to the Chromebook. I strongly recommend the Internet-approach since it is much easier.
