At times, some laptop manufacturers switch the FN keys that require you to hold the /”FN/” button to be able to use the keys assigned for volume, brightness, and other functions. Just see if on your keyboard you see a lock icon with a small letter /”F/”. This is typically the key to give you this ability. I rarely use example the F1 through F12 keys, so I prefer to not able to hold down the FN key to then adjust the volume or other keys. So, if you are looking how to do this, hope this video helps.
