How to disable Cortana And Cortana Search from Windows 10 with a simple registry key!
No dodgy software or hacks needed, just one registry key and it is very easy for anyone to do.
You reclaim the wasted RAM and CPU cycles Cortana hogs in the background.

Please BACKUP your registry before you start. This is a very minimal addition but should you experience any odd behaviour or any other issues then you can restore the registry from your backup.

Computer//HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE//SOFTWARE//Policies//Microsoft//Windows
Create a new key called Windows Search
add a new 32bit dword value called AllowCortana
And set the decimal value to 0 (Zero) to disable Cortana from starting with Windows
And set the value to 1 (One) to enable Cortana to start when WIndows loads.

If you decide this isn’t for you you can delete the registry key /”Windows Search/” and the dword value will also be removed and you are back to the default behaviour.
