While they may be called called Google Play System Updates, they will have new things for the Google Play Store, Google Play Services, Google Wallet, Google Play Protect, and more.

And the thing is, these updates need to be manually installed by the user.

We can do this by opening up the Settings application.
Using the search box to look for Google Play System Update.
And then selecting the feature here.

After it checks for the update, if there is one available for the device, it will immediately begin downloading it for you. Once the download has been completed, the device will then install the update in the background.

But you will also need to reboot the device for the installation to be completed.
