To begin, click the Start button in the bottom left corner. In the search box at the bottom, type in “Services.” When it appears in the search results, click Services to launch it. In the window that appears, scroll down until you see “Windows Update” in the list. Click on it. To disable this feature, click Stop on the left. You’ll see a progress bar appear on your screen. Once that process is complete, you’re all set. Windows updates will no longer automatically be downloaded and installed on your PC.
