In this tutorial, you will learn how to create an x-bar symbol in Word by navigating to the “Insert” tab.

Click on the /”Insert/” tab. From this tab, click on the /”Equation/” button in the /”Symbols/” group. An equation box will appear into the document. Type x into it. Highlight that x. Then, from the /”Equation/” tab, click on the /”Accent/” drop-down menu in the /”Structures/” group and select the first option /”Overbar/” in the /”Overbars and Underbars/” section. This will create an X-bar.
That’s all!
