Labels in Gmail are the simplest way to organize your emails. They work similarly to folders on your computer.

You can create a label for anything inside of Gmail. Once you create a label, you also need to create a filter. Filters and labels work together. The filter will automatically add a label to emails.

You can always change your labels and filters by editing them under the Gmail settings menu.
