Creating borders in Photoshop is probably one of the simplest way to make your photos more interesting. Something like a simple white border image can really go a long way to make a photo more aesthetic.

In this tutorial I’m showing several methods how to make one or more borders for a photo in Photoshop. You can create several Photoshop border designs manually or using the bonus Photoshop action mentioned above.

Try several photo frame ideas using these simple techniques. When using Layer Styles you have the advantage that editing borders later is still an option. Also, if you use the borders and frame Photoshop action you can use the Automate ▶ Batch option in Photoshop to apply the image borders to multiple images at once.
