Here is how you can change the compatibility level of the Chrome process on Windows machines: Right-click on the Chrome shortcut and select properties. Switch to the compatibility tab in the Properties window. Check the “run this program in compatibility mode for” box. Select Windows 7 from the list of available operating system versions.

Resolving compatibility mode in Google Chrome browsers Compatibility mode can be usually be resolved in a Google Chrome browser by clicking the red shield icon at the end of the URL address bar and loading “unsafe scripts” and reloading the page.

To add a site to the Compatibility View list

1. Open Internet Explorer, select the Tools button , and then select Compatibility View settings.
2. Under Add this website, enter the URL of the site you want to add to the list, and then select Add.

Click the Settings icon in the upper right corner and select Compatibility View settings. Enter the website you would like to view in compatibility mode and click Add. Then click Close.

In the search box on the taskbar, type the name of the program or app you want to troubleshoot. Select and hold (or right-click) it, and then select Open file location. Select and hold (or right-click) the program file, select Properties, and then select the Compatibility tab. Select Run compatibility troubleshooter.

To turn on the compatibility mode, click on un-highlighted compatibility mode icon. If it is not listed in the address bar, then press Alt button from the keyboard. Go to “Tools” and click on “Compatibility View Settings”.

Compatibility mode means the Optimizely Editor will not display blocked mixed content. When the Optimizely Editor loads your site in compatibility mode, some styling and content may not display correctly in the Editor.

Right-click the Google Chrome icon, then click “Properties”. This will open the Properties menu.
