Sharing how I fixed the problem of my HDMI monitor not being detected, on a dual monitor setup.
1) Unplug both monitors
2) Plug in HDMI monitor FIRST
3) Wait for HDMI monitor to be recognized
4) Plug in 2nd monitor
I didn’t use the correct computer terminology and don’t claim to be a computer expert. Just sharing what worked for me!
