New HDMI cable and you still cannot watch a movie on your smartphone without a disconnection. This can be so frustrating as you will get a message saying /”HDMI cable disconnected/” and the screen on the monitor or TV will go blank and then you will get a message sating /”HDMI cable connected/” and the picture will come back again, it is intermittent and you know it is not the monitor or the cable as you have tried others, it is a setting in your phone which needs to be addressed for you to have interruption free viewing.

Note: you will not be connected to the internet so make sure you have content on your phone to watch. The problem is due to a weak wifi signal so another solution is to get better reception
