HDMI 2.1a – Don’t Panic! – new SBTM feature. In this video we go over the announced new HDMI standard update, 2.1a with the Sourced Based Tone Mapping (SBTM) feature that is due out later in 2022. We also cover how the HDMI Licensing Administration has stated that all HDMI compliant products forward should be labelled as HDMI 2.1 even if they don’t support any of the optional HDMI 2.1 features.
