METHOD 1 – Rebuilding Windows Index
1. Open the Control Panel (icons view), tap on the Indexing Options icon, and close the Control Panel.
2. Click on the Advanced button.
3. In the Index Settings tab, tap on the ”Rebuild” button under Troubleshooting.
4. Click OK to confirm.
5. Indexing will now be in progress. When indexing has completed, tap on Close.
METHOD 2 – Enabling the Windows Search service
1. Run the services.msc command to open Windows Services
2. In its window, look for Windows Search (WSearch) and make sure that it is enabled. If required, change its Startup type to Automatic.
3. Close the Services window and restart your PC.
METHOD 3 – Troubleshooting Windows Search & Indexing problems
1. Go to PC Settings → Update and Security → Troubleshoot.
2. Here, look for something that says ‘Search and Indexing’.
3. Click on that troubleshooter and wait till it finds some errors and attempts to fix them.
4. Finally, reboot your PC to apply changes.
