Onedrive won’t let me sign in because an account is already linked!

Hi all, When I lost my main SSD HD in my main PC I was left with an old backup 7months old! that I made with ACRONIS Workstation 2015 or 16 which I restored successfully onto a new SSD HD twice the original size at 240GB. The only real issue was with the ONEDRIVE account as it complained that it could not sign in due to already linked account.

See video I made with 2 possible solution that may help you…..for me the second option worked but I decided to leave the video long to show all steps I took and you can fast forward accordingly if need to or if not interested in first step to try and delete the PC’s that are linked…..

So in essence, when I sign into OneDrive, I get error message that says:
– /”You’re syncing a different account. The account you signed in with doesn’t match the account you’re syncing. Please provide the password for /”/”.

In to OneDrive after right click in systray and going into settings, it shows:
– /”You don’t have an account connected or we don’t have quota information at the moment./”

When clicking on the – /”Add an account and sign in, I get the error message:
– /”You’re already syncing a personal OneDrive on this computer. Unlink that account to add a new one./”

Onedrive folder will not sync and really is frustrating. Two solutions found on Forum/link:

1 – unlink the devices from PC section…see video…(did not make any difference in my case)
2 – Solution for me was to uninstall and re-install (make sure to uninstall via Windows mode in control panel add remove programs etc….and don’t use programs like /”Glarys/” or /”CClearner/” or even my favourite /”Revo Uninstaller/” as these mess up the process as I found out the hard way!!!!)

So after the uninstall of onedrive, run the following in Run command window:
C://Windows//SysWOW64//OneDriveSetup.exe

That’s it! See video and I hope it helps someone as I really hated this issue!
