This is a rather annoying glitch that happened with the latest Windows Update, KB4512941. While we’re all patiently waiting for Microsoft to fix their mistake, we can fix it ourselves temporarily.

My Windows Search was not working at all, and Cortana/Search was taking up 40%+ of my CPU! What a crazy glitch!
