Follow these easy steps:
Step 1: Sign out and sign back in
Before diving into more technical fixes, try signing out of Teams and signing back in. Sometimes this simple step can resolve the issue.
Step 2: Repair or reset the Teams app
Open Settings by searching for it in the Start menu.
Click on Apps, then Installed Apps.
Find Microsoft Teams, click the three dots next to it, and select Advanced options.
First, try clicking Repair to fix the app without losing any data.
If that doesn’t work, try Reset, which will delete the app’s data, including preferences and sign-in details. You’ll need to log back into Teams afterward.
Step 3: Check your TLS settings
Open the Start menu and type Internet Options.
In the Advanced tab, scroll down to Security.
Check Use TLS 1.0 and Use TLS 1.1, then click Apply and OK.
Step 4: Restart Teams
After completing the steps, relaunch Microsoft Teams and check if the error is resolved.
