Welcome to another episode of Learn Excel From MrExcel. In this podcast, we will be discussing a new and exciting feature in Excel – Provide Feedback with Sound. This feature, previously available as an add-in, is now a built-in feature in Excel. To access it, simply go to FILE, OPTIONS, and then select the EASE OF ACCESS category. From there, you will see the option for PROVIDE FEEDBACK WITH SOUND.

There are two options available – MODERN and CLASSIC. We highly recommend using the MODERN option for a more pleasant and subtle sound experience. In this podcast, we will be focusing on the MODERN sounds. However, if you’re curious, check out the outtake at the end of the video to hear the CLASSIC sounds.

So, what exactly does this feature do? Well, it provides gentle and subtle sounds to confirm certain actions in Excel. For example, when you open a pane, you will hear a specific sound. And when you close a pane, you will hear a different sound. This feature also works for autocorrect, copying and pasting, undo and redo, saving a document, and even deleting cells or rows.

You may be wondering, why do we need these sounds? Well, they serve as a confirmation that the action we performed was successful. It may seem like a small addition, but it can be quite helpful in our day-to-day Excel tasks. Plus, who doesn’t love a little background music while working in Excel?

To access this feature, simply go to FILE, OPTIONS, EASE OF ACCESS, and select the MODERN option. We highly recommend trying it out and seeing if it enhances your Excel experience. And don’t forget to click the /”i/” in the top right-hand corner to check out our other podcasts and videos on how to power up your Excel skills. Thank you for tuning in and we’ll see you next time for another netcast from MrExcel.
