You can also make these kinds of animated scenes in earlier versions of PowerPoint. We require the Flash Once animation effect to make the walk cycle using 9 different pictures and this effect is available in 2007 and earlier versions but not later.

You can watch our tutorial on how to get and use the Flash Once effect in later versions of PowerPoint. Basically, using Flash Once we are showing 9 different walk poses of a character within 1 second which creates an illusion of a walk cycle.
