Being a email specialist, I have seen in many cases where users complaining that they miss some important emails in Microsoft Outlook. And in most cases, these emails are either deleted or moved to different folders due to some unknown mistakes in Outlook.

Here in this video, we are going to cover 3 tips of Microsoft Outlook that you must try to find missing emails before reaching out to your email admins or Helpdesk for help.

1. Check the Outlook rules, there are cases were rules can be the culprit. You may delete or clear rules to test fist.
command: outlook /cleanrules (to clear all rules and reopen outlook)

2. Incorrectly configured Junk Email Filter in Outlook. There is good chance of configuring Junk email filter in a way it will delete the suspected email instead of keeping it in Junk Email Folder.
Solution: Ensure the feature /”Permanently delete suspected junk e-mail instead of moving it to the Junk E-mail folder/” is not checked.

3. Ignore Conversation Feature of outlook.
I like this feature, but at time this can lead to missing some email if you use it by mistake. About this feature: You can keep unwanted conversations out of your Inbox by using the Ignore Conversation feature. Ignore Conversation removes all messages related to the conversation that you select, and moves future messages in the conversation directly to your Deleted Items folder.
Solution: Stop ignoring a conversation
