In this guide, we’ll look at how to delete the Google search history in Chrome on your Android phone so it is completely removed.

Welcome to Woggle Guides.
In this 60 second guide we’ll look at how to delete search history on the Chrome browser on your Android phone.

Every time you search on Google on the Chrome browser the search details are stored in the Chrome History. Deleting the history however is quick to do.

To do that, let’s click on the 3 dots in the top right of the browser.
Lets scroll down to the SETTINGS option
Let’s choose that to go into Settings.
Now let’s tap on the Privacy and Security option
And you’ll see we’re then shown an option to Clear Browsing History. Lets tap into that.

The Clear browsing data page appears
Here, you can choose to delete specific areas such as –
Browsing history
Cookie and site specific data or
Cached images or files

And you can specify a timeframe for deletion – from 1 hour to the entire history

However we only want to delete browsing history so let’s untick the checkboxes for Cookies and cached images lets also amend the time range to ‘All time’

To clear the browsing history, click on the Clear Data button
And you’ll see browsing history is now empty.
