OneNote is a great note-taking app. To delete a OneNote notebook, it is not as easy as deleting a Word or Excel file. You need to find the specific location where the notebook is located. In this video, I delete a notebook from OneNote 2016. OneNote is free in case you want to download it. I put the link below for the free download. Microsoft’s latest version of OneNote is called OneNote for Windows 10. It is free and preinstalled on Windows 10 computers.

► There are three steps to deleting a OneNote notebook:
1) Find the OneDrive folder where the notebook is located. To do this, right-click a notebook in OneDrive and click Properties. Click Change location, click one folder up. In my example, it was the Documents folders. I now see all my notebooks.
2) Right-click and delete the notebook. You can close the window after deleting the notebook.
3) Close the notebook if it is still showing in OneNote. This step is required, or the notebook will try to Sync, and you will get error messages.
