Learn to create partitions on Windows 11 or 10. If you have only 1 disk i,e local disk C, you can make partition of C drive into multiple partitions to keep your files safe. Having more than one partition allows you to keep your essential files safe if Windows is corrupted or unbootable.

Creating a partition on Windows 11 & 10 is relatively easy. Here are the steps to create a new partition on a C drive or any other volume.

1. Open Disk Management option.
2. Select the disk or partition you want to break.
3. Right-click on the selected partition and click /”Shrink Volume./”
4. Now enter the size of the new partition into MB and click on /”Shrink./”
5. Right-click on the /”Unallocated/” space and create /”New Simple Volume./”
6. Follow the on-screen instructions, and it will create a new partition on your computer.
