Welcome back to yet another video,
In this video tutorial i will gonna show you, How to how to fix windows update error 0X80248007.
Step 1: In the search box, type /”Command Prompt/” (or /”CMD/”).
Right-click /”Command Prompt/” in the search results and choose /”Run as administrator/”.By doing this, the Command Prompt will launch with administrative rights.
Type the following command into the Command Prompt window:
net start msiserver
Press Enter to execute the command.
Step 2: Clear the SoftwareDistribution folder
Step a: Stop Windows Update Service
go to the windows search bar
Type services and press Enter
Scroll down and find the Windows Update service.
Double-click the Windows Update service to open its properties window.
Under the Startup type drop-down menu, select Disabled.
Click Apply and then OK.
Step b: Clear the SoftwareDistribution folder
Open This PC
inside This PC C drive
Now open the Windows folder
again, inside Windows open SoftwareDistribution
Inside the SoftwareDistribution folder, open DataStore
here these files and folders are no longer require
select all and press shift and delete key
select do this for all current items
and click on continue
Now return to the software distribution folder,
open the download folder
select all of the files and folders that are no longer needed, then hit the Shift and Delete keys.
press the /”Yes/” button
Some of the files might not be wiped out,
so you can skip them if you select Do this for all Current Items
and click on Continue.
select Apply to all Current Item checkbox
select skip
Step c: Start Windows Update Service
Go back to the Services window.
Double-click the Windows Update service to open its properties window.
Under the Startup type drop-down menu, select Automatic.
Click Apply and then OK.
Step 3: Run the Windows Update troubleshooter
Open the Settings app by pressing the Windows key + I.
Click on /”System/” and then select /”Troubleshoot/” from the left-hand menu.
Scroll down and click on /”Additional troubleshooters./”
Find and select /”Windows Update/” from the list of troubleshooters.
Click on /”Run the troubleshooter/” and follow the on-screen instructions to let Windows diagnose and fix any issues automatically.
Step 4: run System File Checker Tool in Command Prompt
The Start menu will appear when you press the Windows key on your keyboard.
In the search box, type /”Command Prompt/” (or /”CMD/”).
Right-click /”Command Prompt/” in the search results and choose /”Run as administrator/” from the context menu. By doing this, the Command Prompt will launch with administrative rights.
In the Command Prompt window, type the following command:
sfc /scannow
Your system files will now be checked for faults and corruption using the System File Checker (SFC) software. The scan might take some time to finish.
You can monitor the progress % as the scan is running. If any damaged or missing system files are discovered, the software will try to automatically fix them.
When the scan and repair process is finished, a message with the outcomes will appear.
Step 5: run DISm RestoreHealth in Command Prompt
The Start menu will appear when you press the Windows key on your keyboard.
In the search box, type /”Command Prompt/” (or /”CMD/”).
Right-click /”Command Prompt/” in the search results and choose /”Run as administrator/” from the context menu. By doing this, the Command Prompt will launch with administrative rights.
In the Command Prompt window, type the following command:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Press Enter to execute the command.
You can monitor the progress % as the scan is running. If any damaged or missing system files are discovered, the software will try to automatically fix them.
