If you need to record the sounds coming from the sound card of your computer, you might have noticed that the Windows Sound Recorder will only record from your microphone and similar devices. You can go into the Windows settings and enable the Stereo Mix in the sound settings and then you will be able to record the sounds coming from your computer. For Windows 11 you will need to click on All sound devices under Advanced to see the Stereo Mix option.
