These are the 7 biggest things that have stood out to me during my first month of using a Mac (complete newbie). They are basic, simple things. Functionality that is probably completely everyday to a Mac user. However, these are the things that I now love about the macOS experience and will probably not want to give up.

00:00 – Introduction
01:15 – The Menu Structure
02:49 – Native Multiple Desktops / Mission Control
04:23 – No Right Mouse Button
05:33 – Detailed Hardware Information
06:42 – Seamless Connectivity
07:40 – Simple Software Uninstalls
10:15 – A Proper Sleep Function

If you are thinking of converting to Mac or have always convinced yourself that it’s more of a pain than using Windows, I would recommend you try and borrow one before deciding. It is different but to me has slotted quite nicely into how I use a laptop these days. Computer use has changed in general but my use certainly has.

I have used a Windows machine since Windows 95 days. Cloud software services and external hardware now mean that you’re not tied to a platform in the same way as 5-10 years ago.
