method 1: 100%fix
go to c drive / windows / system 32 folder and open ctfmon.exe . now try search box.
Voila.
But when you restart it may stopped working again, just create a task to run this program every time you start the windows. press Windows Key + R, type “shell:startup” into the Run dialog .
now create a shortcut of fmon.exe and paste that in above folder.
Press Win + R (to open Run )
copy paste and press enter to run this program. /”C://Windows//system32//ctfmon.exe/”. it brings back the language bar and for me it allowed me to type in windows search, start menu and WINDOWS 10 apps again
I think it is due to missing Language bar or some think like that.
But when you restart it may stopped working again, just create a task to run this program every time you start the windows.
method 2.
I suggest you to check if Windows search service is running.
1 . Press Windows plus R key and type /”services.msc/” and press enter.
2 . Locate the Windows Search service and right click on it.
3 . Click on Properties and check the start option has been enabled.
Check if issue persists.
