They might not be the best microphones you can get for the money anymore, but I really wanted a Blue Yeti 10 years ago when they were new. I’m sure it had something to do with those delightful cartoons on the box. Blue Microphones must have had some smart marketing folks to drive sales of their flagship USB mic, the Yeti.

Now that I am a repair junkie I thought I would find a cheap broken one and try to repair it. And to my delight, it’s still a badass microphone in 2021, and quite the upgrade from my less capable (albeit newer) Blue Snowball.
