If you’re having instances of the Internet browsers is not working. Or, you can’t print. Or, you can’t access the file server. Then this video (and others in the series /”Basic Network Troubleshooting/” will help you find your problem.
In this video we focus on Windows Network Adapters which are the software which controls the physical network connections on our computers. Knowing some basic things to look-for, can help you troubleshoot, isolate and even solve network connection issues.
Rest assured, this has nothing to do with programming. This stuff is pretty basic, but can really help you save time by telling where to look for the problem.
In Windows XP, WIndows 7, or Windows 10.
1. Find the /”Controle Panel:
2. Select Network
3. Look for Adapters, or Apdapter settings
Once in this area, you can enable or disable network adapters as needed for troubleshooting steps. Also, you can check the IPv4 settings to see if your network adapters are set for DHCP (obtain IP address automatically) or Static IP address.
Moreover, you can simply double-click anyone of the ethernet adapter icons to get a status on the Tx/Rx traffic. If the Sent/Received counters don’t go up every 5-7 seconds then it means something is not 100% about your connection.
