Note: Modifying the Windows Registry can have serious implications if not done correctly. It’s essential to follow the instructions carefully and create a backup of your registry before making any changes.
1. Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows key + R on your keyboard.
2. Type /”regedit/” in the Run dialog box and press Enter. This will open the Registry Editor.
3. In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE//SOFTWARE//Microsoft//Windows NT//CurrentVersion//Winlogon
4. Look for the following registry entry on the right-hand side:
Double-click on /”DefaultUserName/” and enter the username of the account you want to automatically log in to. Click OK.
5. Locate the following registry entry on the right-hand side:
Double-click on /”DefaultPassword/” and enter the password for the user account you specified in step 4. Click OK.
6. Next, locate the following registry entry on the right-hand side:
Double-click on /”AutoAdminLogon/” and set the value data to /”1./” Click OK.
Restart your computer to apply the changes.
After completing these steps, your Windows PC should automatically log in to the specified user account without requiring manual input.
