To add minutes to a time in Excel, you can use the TIME function, similar to the formula TIME(0, C5, 0). To add a minute to time, simply increase the minute value in the formula; for example, TIME(0, C5+1, 0) adds one minute to the time derived from cell C5. To sum minutes and time, you can use the TIME function with an added minute value: TIME(0, C5 + additional_minutes, 0). For adding 15-minute increments, use TIME(0, C5 + 15, 0). Similarly, to add minutes to a time, adjust the minute component accordingly: TIME(0, C5 + desired_minutes, 0). To increment by 30 minutes, the formula would be TIME(0, C5 + 30, 0).
This is the formula used in my video.
=B5+TIME(0,C5,0)
The formula TIME(0, C5, 0) in spreadsheet applications like Excel or Google Sheets constructs a time value using the TIME function, which creates a time based on specified hours, minutes, and seconds. In this case, the hour is set to 0, indicating 12:00 AM (midnight), the minute is derived from the value in cell C5, and the seconds are set to 0. Therefore, if C5 contains the number 30, the formula would produce the time value 00:30:00, representing 12:30 AM.
