04:57 Conclusion

Method 1: assign a new drive letter
This may be caused by the drive letter of the SSD missing.
To fix it and assign a new drive letter, if your SSD has Windows installed on it then you’ll have to remove the SSD from your computer and plug it in on a working Windows computer.
1. click on the start button, search for Disk Management and open it.
2. right-click on your SSD partition and select “Change Drive Letter and Paths”.
3. If you don’t have any letters then click on the “Add” button and select a drive letter from the drop-down list. Once done, click on OK

Method 2: Fix SSD Driver Error
1. click on the start button and search for the device manager and open it.
2. right-click on the SSD and choose “Uninstall device”
3. click on your computer’s name and click on “Scan for hardware changes”.
Now, Windows will install the best driver for your SSD automatically and finally check if your SSD is showing up on your computer.

Method 3: Unsupported File System
If the above methods didn’t work, your SSD’s file system probably has some issue or has Unallocated Space. To fix this, follow these steps.
1. click on the start button, search for disk management and open it.
2. check if the SSD is displayed as RAW, Free space or “Unallocated space”.
If that’s the case, then formatting the drive is the only fix, but don’t worry because we have a bonus method that’ll get all your data back.
3. right-click on your SSD and click on Format and click on OK.
