Poorly written emails are often disinteresting and fail to convey the intended message. Know how to get your message across with the impact and clarity that you intend, by avoiding these few mistakes while drafting an email.

Common mistakes:

/”Not knowing when to use CC and BCC- People commonly get confused between to and cc. To is for people who need to take action; CC is for people who need to be kept in the know.
You CC hundreds of people when a BCC is more appropriate. Be sure to use BCC when you’re sending general emails to people who don’t know each other.

Attachments named informally- When we save a file we mindlessly name them random names instead of planning a document name always. But when you’re going to attach a file to the mail make sure the file is named decent and formal so it doesn’t give out a wrong impression.

Mindless use of Reply All- Not all conversations seek for everyone else to be a part of it. Sometimes we also accidentally hit reply all instead of reply so make sure you take a minute to evaluate if your response actually requires reply all or not.

Make sure you watch part one of commonly made mistakes to not end up making one anymore.
